Kiwanis Convention

Two Kiwanians, both named Dave Schmitt—one from Florida and one from California—meet at the Kiwanis International convention. Through conversation, they learn they share the same middle name, they are both engineers, they both hail from Chicago, and they both joined Kiwanis the same year. Phone calls to relatives initiated research into the possibility that the two Schmitts are related. But no word yet on any family connections. —Photo by Marty Grivjack
